BABL AI is proud to announce the launch of its first German-language course, “KI-Grundlagen für das EU AI Gesetz,” an essential training designed to help professionals across Germany and Europe navigate the compliance requirements of the EU AI Act. This course is a fully translated and localized version of BABL AI’s “AI Literacy for the EU AI Act” course, originally taught by CEO Dr. Shea Brown, and is now delivered entirely in German by AI governance expert Dinah Rabe.

With the EU AI Act setting new regulatory standards for AI governance, the demand for AI literacy has never been greater. Article 4 of the Act requires that organizations ensure their workforce understands AI systems, their implications, and potential risks. However, according to Rabe, gaps in AI literacy persist across professionals, policymakers, and even AI developers. “Businesses of all sizes must potentially comply with the AI Act, and without accessible education, many risk non-compliance. This need is particularly relevant for Germany’s Mittelstand, the millions of small and medium-sized enterprises,” Rabe explains.

Developing the course involved unique challenges, including the careful adaptation of AI terminology, as some concepts do not yet have direct equivalents in German. “Ensuring precise terminology was crucial,” Rabe notes. “AI-related language is still evolving, and we had to balance technical accuracy with accessibility to make complex AI concepts understandable without oversimplifying key legal and ethical considerations.”

BABL AI remains committed to expanding its AI education offerings. Looking ahead, the company plans to develop additional specialized training tailored to different industries and professional roles, including AI literacy for healthcare, finance, and HR professionals. “The EU AI Act is just the beginning,” says Rabe. “We are eager to respond to the growing demand for industry-specific AI governance education.”
