BABL AI CEO and Founder Dr. Shea Brown joined the 10th Annual Global Insurance Symposium in Des Moines, Iowa, held April 16–17. The event brought together insurance leaders and experts to discuss how artificial intelligence is changing the industry.
Dr. Brown spoke on a panel titled “AI and Insurance: Ethical Risk or Reward.” He appeared with Scott Kosnoff of Faegre Drinker, Colorado Insurance Commissioner Michael Conway, and Staff Data Scientist Dae Won Kim. Together, they examined how AI intersects with ethics, regulation, and business strategy.
The panel highlighted both risks and rewards of AI adoption. For example, speakers warned about bias, accountability, and transparency challenges. However, they also pointed to efficiency gains, new innovations, and improved customer service.
