Safeguarding Democracy in the AI Era: BABL AI at Tech Law Conference

Jeremy Werner, who handles communications and media for BABL AI, recently participated in the “Revolutionary Technologies and Evolutionary Laws: Challenges and Opportunities” conference. At the one-day international law and technology conference at the School of Law at Mahindra University in India, on March 1, Jeremy talked about AI’s impact on elections in 2024 and beyond.

Exploring the Intersection of Law and Technology

The one-day conference aimed to foster stronger relationships between law and emerging technologies. Its goal was to create a space where legal systems can keep up with digital innovation while protecting justice and fairness.

Attendees included academics, legal professionals, policymakers, and industry leaders. Together, they shared insights on the risks, opportunities, and regulatory gaps emerging as technology advances at a rapid pace.

Jeremy’s session contributed a unique perspective from the AI auditing field, especially in light of recent global election cycles where deepfakes, disinformation, and algorithmic targeting have raised new questions about electoral integrity.
