Dubai Launches ‘Dubai AI Seal’ to Promote Trust in Artificial Intelligence
Dubai has started off 2025 by unveiling the “Dubai AI Seal,” a certification mechanism aimed at fostering trust and reliability among artificial intelligence (AI) companies. It was announced under the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister. Consequently, the initiative seeks to establish a trusted network of AI providers. As a result, government entities and businesses can depend on them for secure and credible AI solutions.
It was developed by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI). The certification offers companies a competitive edge in government procurement and national projects. In addition, certification will be a prerequisite for companies aspiring to partner with UAE and Dubai government initiatives. Certified companies can display the seal on digital platforms and promotional campaigns. This enhances their visibility and credibility.
Applications for the Dubai AI Seal are available free of charge on the DCAI website. Also, they are open to all Dubai-licensed technology companies offering AI products or services. Evaluation criteria include the nature of the company’s operations and the expertise of AI-specialized employees. Ongoing and planned projects are also included. In addition, partnerships across public and private sectors are considered. Furthermore, each certified company will receive a unique serial number and classification under the AI Seal.
The Dubai AI Seal underscores the strategic importance of the AI sector to Dubai’s economy. As well as the Middle East as a whole. By providing a reliable verification system, the initiative aims to bolster Dubai’s position as a hub for AI innovation. Additionally, it will create jobs in Dubai and strengthen alliances between government and technology firms.
