The Arkansas Department of Labor and Licensing (ADLL) has launched a new AI-driven inspection system aimed at transforming how regulatory inspections are conducted across the state. Powered by Tyler Technologies’ Augmented Field Operations platform and ARInspect, the system streamlines key tasks like risk profiling, route planning, and compliance reporting.

Announced on May 29, the rollout marks a major modernization step for the department, replacing manual, paper-based processes with smart, automated workflows. The platform’s intelligent scheduling and real-time reporting capabilities have cut average inspection times from several hours to just 10–15 minutes.

“This is a demonstration of innovation that reflects our commitment to smarter, safer, and more accountable government,” said Daryl Bassett, Secretary of ADLL.

The system empowers inspectors with a mobile interface, automated checklists, and access to centralized data, enabling them to conduct more inspections with greater consistency and transparency. A self-service portal also allows regulated entities to track compliance status and respond to findings more efficiently.

“This is not just an upgrade in technology – it’s a transformation in how we operate,” said Ken Anderson, Chief Information Officer at ADLL. “We’re reinforcing our role as a proactive protector of public safety.”

ADLL plans to expand the AI system to additional licensing and compliance programs in the coming months, with full deployment expected by early next year.
